The bright white of the facades contrasting with the blue of the Andalusian sky was the first thing that caught my attention when I arrived in Mijas.
As we advanced through its cobbled streets, surrounded by flowers and colorful balconies, I understood why this small town is considered one of the most charming corners of the Costa del Sol.

I think one of the most beautiful things about Mijas is precisely its atmosphere.

Far from losing its identity, Mijas has managed to preserve its traditional charm and offer visitors a genuine experience.
Viewpoints with views of the Mediterranean
As we walked through its streets we continually discovered viewpoints from where we could observe extraordinary landscapes.
The views towards the Mediterranean Sea and much of the Costa del Sol are truly impressive.
The combination of the mountains, the blue of the sea and the impeccable white of the buildings creates scenarios that invite you to stop and contemplate the landscape for long minutes.
It is these views that make Mijas one of those destinations that are difficult to forget.
The Plaza de la Constitución and the heart of the town
One of the places I enjoyed the most was the charming Plaza de la Constitución.
Surrounded by flowers, restaurants and small meeting spaces, it perfectly represents the calm and welcoming spirit of the town.
Sitting there for a few minutes allows you to observe the daily life of the inhabitants and enjoy the calm that characterizes Mijas.
It is one of those places where one understands that traveling is also about learning to enjoy the simple moments.
Crafts and traditions that last
I also really enjoyed browsing the small artisan shops in town.
Hand-painted ceramics, traditional fabrics, local products and typical Andalusian souvenirs fill the shop windows with color and personality.
Each shop seems to reflect the authentic character of Mijas and its strong connection with the traditions of the region.

As evening falls, Mijas takes on a special beauty.
